Annual ASIAVISION's ASEAN TV News Award ASEAN Television News has been the prime and only viewing channel whereby ASEAN affairs, be it current events or human-interest feature are being equally shared by the ASEAN citizens. For the last four years an average of 700 news items and feature, are gathered annually and disseminated via satellites among the ten ASEAN nations, and these have helped to share and instill knowledge and information about ASEAN to other viewers outside the ASEAN region. The role of the ASEAN TV news exchange or ATN thus very much serves the purpose of ASEAN integration. As recognition to the ATN, ASIAVISION, the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union's daily satellite news exchange networks, is honouring ATN members with the annual ASIAVISION Award for the best contributor to the ASEAN Television News Exchange. The award was won by Vietnam Television, Vietnam in 2004; TVK, Cambodia in 2005; TVRI, Indonesia in 2006; Channel NewsAsia (CNA), Singapore in 2007 and 2008; and Radio Television Brunei (RTB), Brunei Darussalam in 2009.  The citation of CNA winning the 2009 award reads as follow: "RTB have always kept pace with the times by giving offers that reflect the true Bruneian lifestyle. Their offers include an insight into the lives, cultures and administration of the country. They are also meticulous in ensuring high quality visuals and audio for their offers.
