Last Monday, Muslims worldwide commemorated the birthday anniversary of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. In Brunei Darussalam, Muslims celebrated the event with mass gathering and procession not only in the capital, Bandar Seri Begawan; it was also the high point in the other three districts. Myanmar Union Day
In the course of its long history, Myanmar has stood tall as a sovereign nation in the world. By misfortune, Myanmar once fell under alien subjugation during the world's transition from feudalism to colonialism. At Panlong Conference held in Shan State on 12 February 1947, the entire people unanimously showed nationalistic spirit, with which they enjoyed independence only together. To mark the historic event, the country has held the Union Day ceremony since 1948. As a result, country regained its independence and sovereignty in 1948.

Philippines Ibon-Ebon Festival
One of the much-awaited events in Pampanga is the "Ibon-Ebon Festival" in Candaba, Pampanga. Foreign and local guests and known government officials join the annual festivity. The said festival was held in honor of the local patron saint, San Nicolas de Tolentino. This is in connection with the migration of tarat in Candaba, a bird specie known as the Brown Shrike.
